1. O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
2. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
3. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
4. Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
5. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
6. O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
7. He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.
8. He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
9. Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
10. And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
11. Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:
12. When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
13. When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;
14. He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
15. Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
16. Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.
17. He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
18. Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
19. Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.
20. The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.
21. He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:
22. To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.
23. Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
24. And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.
25. He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.
26. He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.
27. They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
28. He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
29. He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
30. Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.
31. He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.
32. He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
33. He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.
34. He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,
35. And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.
36. He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.
37. He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
38. Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.
39. He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.
40. The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
41. He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.
42. For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.
43. And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
44. And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
45. That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.

2. Chantez en son honneur, jouez de vos instruments en son honneur, célébrez toutes ses merveilles!
3. Placez votre fierté dans son saint nom! Que le coeur de ceux qui cherchent l'Eternel se réjouisse!
4. Ayez recours à l'Eternel et à sa force, recherchez constamment sa présence!
5. Souvenez-vous des merveilles qu'il a accomplies, de ses miracles et de ses jugements,
6. descendants d'Abraham, son serviteur, enfants de Jacob, qu'il a choisis!
7. L'Eternel est notre Dieu; ses jugements s'exercent sur toute la terre.
8. Il se rappelle toujours son alliance, son mot d'ordre pour 1000 générations,
9. le pacte qu'il a traité avec Abraham, le serment qu'il a fait à Isaac.
10. Il l'a érigé en prescription pour Jacob, en alliance éternelle pour Israël,
11. quand il a dit: «Je te donnerai le pays de Canaan, c'est l'héritage qui vous est attribué.»
12. Ils étaient alors peu nombreux, très peu nombreux, et étrangers dans le pays.
13. Ils erraient d'une nation à l'autre et d'un royaume vers un autre peuple,
14. mais il n'a laissé personne les opprimer, et il a puni des rois à cause d'eux:
15. «Ne touchez pas à ceux que j'ai désignés par onction et ne faites pas de mal à mes prophètes!»
16. Il a appelé la famine sur le pays, il a coupé tout moyen de subsistance.
17. Il a envoyé un homme devant eux: Joseph, qui a été vendu comme esclave.
18. On a attaché ses pieds avec des chaînes, on a enserré son cou dans du fer,
19. jusqu'au moment où est arrivé ce qu'il avait annoncé et où la parole de l'Eternel l'a justifié:
20. le roi l'a fait libérer, le dominateur des peuples l'a relâché;
21. il l'a établi seigneur sur sa maison et maître de tous ses biens,
22. afin qu'il puisse à son gré diriger ses princes et enseigner la sagesse à ses anciens.
23. Ensuite, Israël est venu en Egypte, Jacob a séjourné dans le pays de Cham.
24. Dieu a donné de nombreux enfants à son peuple et l'a rendu plus puissant que ses adversaires.
25. Il a changé le coeur des Egyptiens, au point qu'ils ont détesté son peuple et qu'ils ont traité ses serviteurs avec perfidie.
26. Il a envoyé Moïse, son serviteur, et Aaron, qu'il avait choisi.
27. Ils ont accompli par son pouvoir des prodiges en Egypte, ils ont fait des miracles dans le pays de Cham.
28. Il a envoyé des ténèbres et fait venir l'obscurité, et ils n'ont pas été rebelles à sa parole.
29. Il a changé leur eau en sang et fait mourir leurs poissons.
30. Le pays a pullulé de grenouilles, jusque dans les chambres de leurs rois.
31. Sur son ordre, les mouches venimeuses et les moustiques ont envahi tout leur territoire.
32. Au lieu de pluie, il a envoyé de la grêle, de la foudre dans leur pays.
33. Il a frappé leurs vignes et leurs figuiers, et brisé les arbres de leur territoire.
34. Sur son ordre, les sauterelles sont arrivées, des sauterelles innombrables.
35. Elles ont dévoré toute l'herbe dans leur pays, elles ont dévoré tous les produits des champs.
36. Il a frappé tous les premiers-nés dans leur pays, les aînés de tous leurs enfants.
37. Il a fait sortir son peuple avec de l'argent et de l'or, et personne ne trébuchait parmi ses tribus.
38. Les Egyptiens se sont réjouis de leur départ, car ils étaient saisis de terreur devant les Israélites.
39. Il a étendu la nuée pour les protéger, et le feu pour éclairer la nuit.
40. A leur demande, il a fait venir des cailles, et il les a rassasiés du pain du ciel.
41. Il a ouvert le rocher et de l'eau a coulé, elle s'est déversée comme un fleuve dans les lieux arides,
42. car il s'est souvenu de sa parole sainte et d'Abraham, son serviteur.
43. Il a fait sortir son peuple dans l'allégresse, ceux qu'il a choisis au milieu des cris de joie.
44. Il leur a donné les terres des nations, et ils ont tiré profit du travail des peuples,
45. afin qu'ils gardent ses prescriptions et qu'ils respectent ses lois. Louez l'Eternel!
