1. I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.
2. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.
3. The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.
4. Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.
5. Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.
6. The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.
7. Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.
8. For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
9. I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
10. I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:
11. I said in my haste, All men are liars.
12. What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?
13. I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.
14. I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people.
15. Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
16. O LORD, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.
17. I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.
18. I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people,
19. In the courts of the LORD's house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
1. J'aime l'Eternel, car il entend ma voix, mes supplications.
2. Oui, il a penché son oreille vers moi et je ferai appel à lui toute ma vie.
3. Les liens de la mort m'avaient enserré, et les angoisses du séjour des morts s'étaient emparées de moi; j'étais accablé par la détresse et la douleur,
4. mais j'ai fait appel au nom de l'Eternel: «Eternel, sauve-moi!»
5. L'Eternel fait grâce et il est juste, notre Dieu est rempli de compassion.
6. L'Eternel garde ceux qui manquent d'expérience; j'étais affaibli, et il m'a sauvé.
7. Retrouve le repos, mon âme, car l'Eternel t'a fait du bien!
8. Oui, tu as délivré mon âme de la mort, mes yeux des larmes, mes pieds de la chute.
9. Je marcherai devant l'Eternel au pays des vivants.
10. *J'avais confiance, même lorsque je disais: «Je suis plongé dans le malheur!»
11. Dans mon angoisse, je disais: «Tous les hommes sont des menteurs.»
12. Comment pourrais-je rendre à l'Eternel tous ses bienfaits envers moi?
13. Je lèverai la coupe des délivrances et je ferai appel au nom de l'Eternel,
14. j'accomplirai mes voeux envers l'Eternel en présence de tout son peuple.
15. Elle a du prix aux yeux de l'Eternel, la mort de ses fidèles.
16. Ecoute-moi, Eternel, car je suis ton serviteur, ton serviteur, le fils de ta servante! Tu as détaché mes liens:
17. je t'offrirai un sacrifice de reconnaissance et je ferai appel au nom de l'Eternel;
18. j'accomplirai mes voeux envers l'Eternel en présence de tout son peuple,
19. dans les parvis de la maison de l'Eternel, au milieu de toi, Jérusalem. Louez l'Eternel!
