1. O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.

2. Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.

3. My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?

4. Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake.

5. For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?

6. I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.

7. Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.

8. Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.

9. The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.

10. Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.

2. Eternel, ne me punis pas dans ta colère et ne me corrige pas dans ta fureur.

3. Aie pitié de moi, Eternel, car je suis sans force! Guéris-moi, Eternel, car je tremble de tous mes os!

4. *Mon âme est toute troublée. Et toi, Eternel, jusqu'à quand me traiteras-tu ainsi?

5. Reviens, Eternel, délivre-moi, sauve-moi à cause de ta bonté,

6. car dans la mort on n'évoque plus ton souvenir: qui te louera dans le séjour des morts?

7. Je m'épuise à force de gémir; chaque nuit mon lit est trempé de mes larmes, il est inondé de mes pleurs.

8. Mes yeux sont usés par le chagrin: tous ceux qui me persécutent les affaiblissent.

9. *Eloignez-vous de moi, vous tous qui commettez l'injustice, car l'Eternel entend mes pleurs!

10. L'Eternel exauce mes supplications, l'Eternel accueille ma prière.

11. Tous mes ennemis sont remplis de confusion et d'effroi; ils reculent, soudain couverts de honte.
