verses:

1. Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.

2. Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.

3. For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.

4. I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.

5. I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.

6. I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O LORD:

7. That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.

8. LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.

9. Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:

10. In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.

11. But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.

12. My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.

1. De David. Rends-moi justice, Eternel, car je marche dans l'intégrité! Je me confie en l'Eternel: je ne faiblis pas.

2. Examine-moi, Eternel, mets-moi à l'épreuve, purifie au creuset mes reins et mon coeur,

3. car ta grâce est devant mes yeux, et je marche dans ta vérité.

4. Je ne m'assieds pas avec les hommes faux, je ne vais pas avec les hypocrites.

5. Je déteste l'assemblée de ceux qui font le mal, je ne m'assieds pas avec les méchants.

6. Je lave mes mains en signe d'innocence, et je fais le tour de ton autel, Eternel,

7. pour exprimer ma reconnaissance et raconter toutes tes merveilles.

8. Eternel, j'aime la maison où tu résides, le lieu où ta gloire habite.

9. N'entraîne pas mon âme dans la ruine des pécheurs, ni ma vie dans celle des hommes sanguinaires.

10. Leurs mains sont souillées de crimes, leur main droite est pleine de pots-de-vin,

11. mais moi, je marche dans l'intégrité. Délivre-moi et aie pitié de moi!

12. Mon pied tient ferme dans la droiture; je bénirai l'Eternel dans les assemblées.
