18. And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.

19. And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name was Joktan.

20. And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,

21. Hadoram also, and Uzal, and Diklah,

22. And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,

23. And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

27. Abram; the same is Abraham.

28. The sons of Abraham; Isaac, and Ishmael.

29. These are their generations: The firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

30. Mishma and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,

31. Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael.

32. Now the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan; Sheba, and Dedan.

33. And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these are the sons of Keturah.

34. And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac; Esau and Israel.

35. The sons of Esau; Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.

36. The sons of Eliphaz; Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.

37. The sons of Reuel; Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

38. And the sons of Seir; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.

39. And the sons of Lothan; Hori, and Homam: and Timna was Lotan's sister.

43. Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the children of Israel; Bela the son of Beor: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

44. And when Bela was dead, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.

45. And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.

46. And when Husham was dead, Hadad the son of Bedad, which smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.

47. And when Hadad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

48. And when Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.

49. And when Shaul was dead, Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.

50. And when Baal-hanan was dead, Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.

51. Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were; duke Timnah, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth,

52. Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,

53. Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,

54. Duke Magdiel, duke Iram. These are the dukes of Edom.

9. Die Kinder aber von Chus sind: Seba, Hevila, Sabtha, Ragma, Sabthecha. Die Kinder aber Ragmas sind: Saba und Dedan.

10. Chus aber zeugte Nimrod; der fing an, gewaltig zu sein auf Erden.

11. Mizraim zeugte die Luditer, die Anamiter, die Lehabiter, die Naphthuhiter,

12. die Pathrusiter, die Kasluhiter, von welchen sind ausgegangen die Philister, und die Kaphthoriter.

13. Kanaan aber zeugte Sidon, seinen ersten Sohn und Heth,

14. den Jebusiter, den Amoriter, den Girgasiter,

15. den Heviter, den Arkiter, den Siniter,

16. den Arvaditer, den Zemariter und den Hamathiter.

17. Die Kinder Sems sind diese: Elam, Assur, Arphachsad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Gether und Mesech.

18. Arphachsad aber zeugte Salah; Salah zeugte Eber.

19. Eber aber wurden zwei Söhne geboren: der eine hieß Peleg, darum daß zu seiner Zeit das Land zerteilt ward, und sein Bruder hieß Joktan.

20. Joktan aber zeugte Almodad, Saleph, Hazarmaveth, Jarah,

21. Hadoram, Usal, Dikla,

22. Ebal, Abimael, Saba,

23. Ophir, Hevila, und Jobab. Diese alle sind Kinder Joktans.

24. Sem, Arphachsad, Salah,

25. Eber, Peleg, Regu,

26. Serug, Nahor, Tharah,

27. Abram, das ist Abraham.

28. Die Kinder aber Abrahams sind: Isaak und Ismael.

29. Dies ist ihr Geschlecht: der erste Sohn Ismaels, Nebajoth, Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,

30. Misma, Duma, Massa, Hadad, Thema,

31. Jetur, Naphis, Kedma. Das sind die Kinder Ismaels.

32. Die Kinder aber Keturas, des Kebsweibs Abraham: die gebar Simran, Joksan, Medan, Midian, Jesbak, Suah. Aber die Kinder Joksans sind: Saba und Dedan.

33. Und die Kinder Midians sind: Epha, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, Eldaa. Diese alle sind Kinder der Ketura.

34. Abraham zeugte Isaak. Die Kinder aber Isaaks sind: Esau und Israel.

35. Die Kinder Esaus sind: Eliphas, Reguel, Jeus, Jaelam, Korah.

36. Die Kinder Eliphas sind: Theman, Omar, Zephi, Gaetham, Kenas, Thimna, Amalek.

37. Die Kinder Reguels sind: Nahath, Serah, Samma und Missa.

38. Die Kinder Seirs sind: Lotan, Sobal, Zibeon, Ana, Dison, Ezer, Disan.

39. Die Kinder Lotans sind: Hori, Homam; und Thimna war eine Schwester Lotans.

40. Die Kinder Sobals sind: Aljan, Manahath, Ebal, Sephi, Onam. Die Kinder Zibeons sind: Aja und Ana.

41. Die Kinder Anas: Dison. Die Kinder Disons sind: Hamran, Esban, Jethran, Cheran.

42. Die Kinder Ezers sind: Bilhan, Saawan, Jaakan. Die Kinder Disans sind: Uz und Aran.

43. Die sind die Könige die regiert haben im Lande Edom, ehe denn ein König regierte unter den Kindern Israel; Bela, der Sohn Beors; und seine Stadt hieß Dinhaba.

44. Und da Bela starb, ward König an seiner Statt Jobab, der Sohn Serahs von Bozra.

45. Und da Jobab starb, ward König an seiner Statt Husam aus der Themaniter Lande.

46. Da Husam starb, ward König an seiner Statt Hadad, der Sohn Bedads der die Midianiter schlug in der Moabiter Feld; und seine Stadt hieß Awith.

47. Da Hadad starb, ward König an seiner Statt Samla von Masrek.

48. Da Samla starb, ward König an seiner Statt Saul von Rehoboth am Strom.

49. Da Saul starb, ward König an seiner Statt Baal-Hanan, der Sohn Achbors.

50. Da Baal-Hanan starb, ward König an seiner Statt Hadad, und seine Stadt hieß Pagi; und sein Weib hieß Mehetabeel, eine Tochter Matreds, die Mesahabs Tochter war.

51. Da aber Hadad starb, wurden Fürsten zu Edom: Fürst Thimna, Fürst Alwa, Fürst Jetheth,

52. Fürst Oholibama, Fürst Ela, Fürst Pinon,

53. Fürst Kenas, Fürst Theman, Fürst Mizbar,

54. Fürst Magdiel, Fürst Iram. Das sind die Fürsten zu Edom.
