1. Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2. Also, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD unto the land of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land.
3. Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations.
4. And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity: but I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
5. Thus saith the Lord GOD; An evil, an only evil, behold, is come.
6. An end is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee; behold, it is come.
7. The morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble is near, and not the sounding again of the mountains.
8. Now will I shortly pour out my fury upon thee, and accomplish mine anger upon thee: and I will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense thee for all thine abominations.
9. And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will recompense thee according to thy ways and thine abominations that are in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I am the LORD that smiteth.
10. Behold the day, behold, it is come: the morning is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded.
11. Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of any of theirs: neither shall there be wailing for them.
12. The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.
13. For the seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they were yet alive: for the vision is touching the whole multitude thereof, which shall not return; neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.
14. They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goeth to the battle: for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.
15. The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword; and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him.
16. But they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, every one for his iniquity.
17. All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water.
18. They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads.
19. They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.
20. As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty: but they made the images of their abominations and of their detestable things therein: therefore have I set it far from them.
21. And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute it.
22. My face will I turn also from them, and they shall pollute my secret place: for the robbers shall enter into it, and defile it.
23. Make a chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.
24. Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pomp of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled.
25. Destruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none.
26. Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumour shall be upon rumour; then shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients.
27. The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
1. Und das Wort des HERRN erging also an mich:
2. Du, Menschensohn! So spricht Gott, der HERR, von dem Lande Israel: Das Ende kommt, ja, das Ende über alle vier Landesgegenden!
3. Nun wird das Ende über dich kommen, und ich will meinen Zorn über dich entfesseln und dich nach deinem Wandel richten und dir alle deine Greuel vergelten.
4. Mein Auge soll deiner nicht schonen, und ich will mich deiner nicht erbarmen, sondern dir vergelten nach deinen Wegen und nach deinen Greueln, die in deiner Mitte vorgekommen sind, und so sollt ihr erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin!
5. So spricht Gott, der HERR: Es kommt ein einzigartiges Unglück, siehe, das Unglück kommt!
6. Das Ende kommt, es kommt das Ende; es erwacht gegen dich, siehe, es ist schon da!
7. Das Verhängnis kommt über dich, du Bewohner des Landes; die Zeit ist da; der Tag der Bestürzung ist nahe und nicht des Jauchzens auf den Bergen.
8. Jetzt gieße ich gar bald meinen Grimm über dich aus und kühle meinen Zorn an dir! Ich will dich nach deinem Wandel richten und dir alle deine Greuel vergelten.
9. Mein Auge soll deiner nicht schonen, und ich will mich nicht erbarmen, sondern dir vergelten nach deinem Wandel und nach deinen Greueln, die in deiner Mitte geschehen sind, und so sollt ihr erfahren, daß ich, der HERR, es bin, welcher schlägt.
10. Siehe, da ist der Tag, siehe, er kommt! Das Verhängnis bricht an; die Rute blüht; es grünt der Übermut!
11. Die Gewalttätigkeit erhebt sich als Rute der Gottlosigkeit. Es wird nichts von ihnen übrigbleiben, weder von ihrer Menge, noch von ihrem Reichtum, und niemand wird sie beklagen.
12. Die Zeit kommt, der Tag naht! Wer etwas kauft, der freue sich nicht; wer verkauft, der traure nicht, denn Zornglut ist entbrannt über ihren ganzen Haufen.
13. Denn der Verkäufer wird nicht wieder zu dem verkauften Gut gelangen, auch wenn er noch unter den Lebendigen am Leben ist; denn die Weissagung wider ihre ganze Menge wird nicht umkehren, und niemand wird sich durch seine Missetat am Leben erhalten.
14. Stoßet nur ins Horn und rüstet alles zu, es wird doch niemand in die Schlacht ziehen; denn mein Zorn kommt über ihren ganzen Haufen.
15. Draußen wird das Schwert wüten, drinnen aber Pest und Hunger; wer aber auf dem Felde ist, der soll durchs Schwert umkommen; wer aber in der Stadt ist, den sollen Hunger und Pest verzehren!
16. Welche von ihnen aber entrinnen, die werden auf den Bergen sein wie die Tauben in den Schluchten. Sie werden alle seufzen, ein jeder um seiner Missetat willen.
17. Aller Hände werden erschlaffen und aller Knie wie Wasser zerfließen.
18. Sie werden Säcke umgürten; Schrecken wird sie bedecken. Alle Angesichter werden schamrot und alle ihre Häupter kahl sein.
19. Sie werden ihr Silber auf die Gassen werfen, und ihr Gold wird zu Unrat werden. Ihr Silber und Gold vermag sie nicht zu retten am Tage des grimmigen Zorns des HERRN. Es wird ihre Seelen nicht sättigen und ihren Leib nicht füllen; denn es ist ihnen ein Anstoß zur Sünde geworden.
20. Seinen zierlichen Schmuck haben sie zur Hoffart verwendet, und sie haben ihre greulichen und scheußlichen Bilder daraus gemacht. Darum habe ich es ihnen in Unrat verwandelt
21. und will es den Fremden zum Raub und den Gottlosen auf Erden zur Beute geben, daß sie es entweihen.
22. Und ich will mein Angesicht von ihnen wenden, daß man meinen verborgenen Schatz entheilige; denn es werden Räuber dahinter kommen und ihn entweihen.
23. Mache Ketten, denn das Land ist ganz mit Blutschulden erfüllt, und die Stadt ist voller Frevel!
24. Ich aber will die schlimmsten Heidenvölker herbringen, daß sie deren Häuser einnehmen; und ich will dem Hochmut der Starken ein Ende machen, und ihre Heiligtümer sollen entheiligt werden.
25. Die Angst kommt! Sie werden Frieden suchen und ihn nicht finden.
26. Ein Unglück nach dem andern kommt und eine Kunde um die andere; alsdann werden sie vom Propheten eine Offenbarung verlangen; aber die Priester haben die Lehre verloren und die Ältesten den Rat.
27. Der König wird trauern, der Fürst wird sich in Entsetzen kleiden, und die Hände des gemeinen Volkes werden zittern. Ich will sie behandeln nach ihrem Wandel und sie richten, wie es ihnen gebührt, so werden sie erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin!
