ASV_Strong : Matthew 9

verses:

1. And[G2532] he entered[G1684] into[G1519] a boat[G4143], and crossed over[G1276], and[G2532] came[G2064] into[G1519] his own[G2398] city[G4172].

2. And[G2532] behold[G2400], they brought[G4374] to him[G846] a man sick of the palsy[G3885], lying[G906] on[G1909] a bed[G2825]: and[G2532] Jesus[G2424] seeing[G1492] their[G846] faith[G4102] said[G2036] unto the sick of the palsy[G3885], Son[G5043], be of good cheer[G2293]; thy[G4675] sins[G266] are forgiven[G863].

3. And[G2532] behold[G2400], certain[G5100] of the scribes[G1122] said[G2036] within[G1722] themselves[G1438], This[G3778] man blasphemeth[G987].

4. And[G2532] Jesus[G2424] knowing[G1492] their[G846] thoughts[G1761] said[G2443], Wherefore[G2444] think[G1760] ye[G5210] evil[G4190] in[G1722] your[G5216] hearts[G2588]?

5. For[G1063] which[G5101] is[G2076] easier[G2123], to say[G2036], Thy[G5101] sins[G266] are forgiven[G863]; or[G2228] to say[G2036], Arise[G1453], and[G2532] walk[G4043]?

6. But[G1161] that[G2443] ye may know[G1492] that[G3754] the Son[G5207] of man[G444] hath[G2192] authority[G1849] on[G1909] earth[G1093] to forgive[G863] sins[G266] (then[G5119] saith he[G3004] to the sick of the palsy[G3885]), Arise[G1453], and take up[G142] thy[G4675] bed[G2825], and[G2532] go[G5217] up unto[G1519] thy[G4675] house[G3624].

7. And[G2532] he arose[G1453], and departed[G565] to[G1519] his[G846] house[G3624].

8. But[G1161] when[G1492] the multitudes[G3793] saw[G1492] it[G2296], they were afraid, and[G2532] glorified[G1392] God[G2316], who had given[G1325] such[G5108] authority[G1849] unto men[G444].

9. And[G2532] as[G3855] Jesus[G2424] passed by[G3855] from thence[G1564], he saw[G1492] a man[G444], called[G3004] Matthew[G3156], sitting[G2521] at[G1909] the place of toll[G5058]: and[G2532] he saith[G3004] unto him[G846], Follow[G190] me[G3427]. And[G2532] he arose[G450], and followed[G190] him[G846].

10. And[G2532] it came to pass[G1096], as[G345] he[G846] sat at meat[G345] in[G1722] the house[G2532], behold[G2400], many[G4183] publicans[G5057] and[G2532] sinners[G268] came and[G2064] sat down with[G4873] Jesus[G2424] and[G2532] his[G846] disciples[G3101].

11. And[G2532] when[G1492] the Pharisees[G5330] saw[G1492] it[G2036], they said unto[G3101] his[G846] disciples[G1223], Why[G5101] eateth[G2068] your[G5216] Teacher[G1320] with[G3326] the publicans[G5057] and[G2532] sinners[G268]?

12. But[G1161] when[G191] he[G2424] heard[G191] it[G2036], he said, They that are whole[G2480] have[G2192] no[G3756] need[G5532] of a physician[G2395], but[G235] they that are sick[G2192].

13. But[G1161] go ye and[G4198] learn[G3129] what[G5101] this meaneth[G2076], I desire[G2309] mercy[G1656], and[G2532] not[G3756] sacrifice[G2378], for[G1063] I came[G2064] not[G3756] to call[G2564] the righteous[G1342], but[G235] sinners[G268].

14. Then[G5119] come to[G4334] him[G846] the disciples[G3101] of John[G2491], saying[G1223], Why[G5101] do[G3522] we[G2249] and[G2532] the Pharisees[G5330] fast[G3522] oft[G4183], but[G1161] thy[G4675] disciples[G3101] fast[G3522] not[G3756]?

15. And[G2532] Jesus[G2424] said[G2036] unto them[G3361], Can[G1410] the sons[G5207] of the bridechamber[G3567] mourn[G3996], as[G1909] long as[G3745] the bridegroom[G3566] is[G2076] with[G3326] them[G846]? but[G1161] the days[G2250] will come[G2064], when[G3752] the bridegroom[G3566] shall be taken[G522] away from[G575] them[G846], and[G2532] then[G5119] will they fast[G3522].

16. And[G1161] no man[G3762] putteth[G1911] a[G1161] piece[G1915] of undressed[G46] cloth[G4470] upon an[G2440] old[G3820] garment[G2440]; for[G1063] that which should fill[G4138] it[G846] up[G4138] taketh[G142] from[G575] the garment[G2440], and[G2532] a worse[G5501] rent[G4978] is made[G1096].

17. Neither[G3761] do men put[G906] new[G3501] wine[G3631] into[G1519] old[G3820] wine-skins[G779]: else[G3361] the skins[G779] burst[G4486], and[G2532] the wine[G3631] is spilled[G1632], and[G2532] the skins[G779] perish[G622]: but[G235] they put[G906] new[G2537] wine[G3631] into[G1519] fresh[G2537] wine-skins[G779], and[G2532] both[G297] are preserved[G4933].

18. While[G2980] he[G846] spake[G2980] these things[G5023] unto them[G846], behold[G2400], there came[G2064] a ruler[G758], and[G2064] worshipped[G4352] him[G846], saying[G3754], My[G3450] daughter[G2364] is[G5053] even now[G737] dead[G5053]: but[G235] come and[G2064] lay[G2007] thy[G4675] hand[G5495] upon[G1909] her[G846], and[G2532] she shall live[G2198].

19. And[G2532] Jesus[G2424] arose[G1453], and followed[G190] him[G846], and[G2532] so did his[G846] disciples[G3101].

20. And[G2532] behold[G2400], a woman[G1135], who had an issue of blood[G131] twelve[G1427] years[G2094], came[G4334] behind[G3693] him[G680], and touched the border[G2899] of[G2440] his[G846] garment[G2440]:

21. for[G1063] she said[G3004] within[G1722] herself[G1438], If[G1437] I do[G680] but[G3440] touch[G680] his[G846] garment[G2440], I shall be made whole[G4982].

22. But[G1161] Jesus[G2424] turning and[G2532] seeing[G1492] her[G846] said[G2036], Daughter[G2364], be of good cheer[G2293]; thy[G4675] faith[G4102] hath made[G4982] thee[G4571] whole[G4982]. And[G2532] the woman[G1135] was made whole[G4982] from[G575] that[G1565] hour[G5610].

23. And[G2532] when[G2064] Jesus[G2424] came[G2064] into[G1519] the ruler[G758]'s house[G3614], and[G2532] saw[G1492] the flute-players[G834], and[G2532] the crowd[G3793] making a tumult[G2350],

24. he said[G3004], Give place[G402]: for[G1063] the damsel[G2877] is[G599] not[G3756] dead[G599], but[G235] sleepeth[G2518]. And[G2532] they laughed[G2606] him[G846] to scorn[G2606].

25. But[G1161] when[G3753] the crowd[G3793] was put forth[G1544], he entered in[G1525], and took[G2902] her[G846] by the hand[G5495]; and[G2532] the damsel[G2877] arose[G1453].

26. And[G2532] the fame[G5345] hereof[G3778] went forth[G1831] into[G1519] all[G3650] that[G1565] land[G1093].

27. And[G2532] as[G3855] Jesus[G2424] passed[G3855] by from thence[G1564], two[G1417] blind men[G5185] followed[G190] him[G846], crying[G2896] out[G2532], and saying[G3004], Have mercy on[G1653] us[G2248], thou son[G5207] of David[G1138].

28. And[G1161] when he was come[G2064] into[G1519] the house[G3614], the blind men[G5185] came[G4334] to him[G846]: and[G2532] Jesus[G2424] saith[G3004] unto them[G846], Believe ye[G4100] that[G3754] I am able[G1410] to do[G4160] this[G5124]? They say[G3004] unto him[G846], Yea[G3483], Lord[G2962].

29. Then[G5119] touched he[G680] their[G846] eyes[G3788], saying[G3004], According to[G2596] your[G5213] faith[G4102] be it[G1096] done unto you[G5213].

30. And[G2532] their[G846] eyes[G3788] were opened[G455]. And[G2532] Jesus[G2424] strictly charged[G1690] them[G846], saying[G3004], See[G3708] that no man[G3367] know it[G1097].

31. But[G1161] they[G3588] went forth[G1310], and spread abroad[G1310] his[G846] fame[G1310] in[G1722] all[G3650] that[G1565] land[G1093].

32. And as[G1161] they[G846] went forth[G1831], behold[G2400], there was brought[G4374] to him[G846] a dumb[G2974] man[G444] possessed with a demon[G1139].

33. And[G2532] when[G1544] the demon[G1140] was cast out[G1544], the dumb[G2974] man spake[G2980]: and[G2532] the multitudes[G3793] marvelled[G2296], saying[G3754], It was[G5316] never[G3763] so[G3779] seen[G5316] in[G1722] Israel[G2474].

34. But[G1161] the Pharisees[G5330] said[G3004], By[G1722] the prince[G758] of the demons[G1140] casteth he out[G1544] demons[G1140].

35. And[G2532] Jesus[G2424] went about[G4013] all[G3956] the cities[G4172] and[G2532] the villages[G2968], teaching[G1321] in[G1722] their[G846] synagogues[G4864], and[G2532] preaching[G2784] the gospel[G2098] of the kingdom[G932], and[G2532] healing[G2323] all manner[G3956] of disease[G3119] and[G2532] all manner[G3956] of sickness[G3554].

36. But[G1161] when he saw[G1492] the multitudes[G3793], he was moved with compassion[G4697] for[G4012] them[G846], because[G3754] they[G2258] were[G2258] distressed[G1590] and[G2532] scattered[G5616], as sheep[G4263] not[G3361] having[G2192] a shepherd[G4166].

37. Then[G5119] saith he[G3004] unto[G3101] his[G846] disciples[G3101], The harvest[G2326] indeed[G3303] is plenteous[G4183], but[G1161] the laborers[G2040] are few[G3641].

38. Pray ye[G1189] therefore[G3767] the Lord[G2962] of the harvest[G2326], that[G3704] he send forth[G1544] laborers[G2040] into[G1519] his[G846] harvest[G2326].
