18. Who hitherto[H5704] [H2008] waited in the king's[H4428] gate[H8179] eastward:[H4217] they[H1992] were porters[H7778] in the companies[H4264] of the children[H1121] of Levi.[H3878]

19. 20. And Phinehas[H6372] the son[H1121] of Eleazar[H499] was[H1961] the ruler[H5057] over[H5921] them in time past,[H6440] and the LORD[H3068] was with[H5973] him.

21. And Zechariah[H2148] the son[H1121] of Meshelemiah[H4920] was porter[H7778] of the door[H6607] of the tabernacle[H168] of the congregation.[H4150]

22. All[H3605] these which were chosen[H1305] to be porters[H7778] in the gates[H5592] were two hundred[H3967] and twelve.[H8147] [H6240] These[H1992] were reckoned by their genealogy[H3187] in their villages,[H2691] whom David[H1732] and Samuel[H8050] the seer[H7203] did ordain[H3245] in their set office.[H530]

26. For[H3588] these[H1992] Levites,[H3881] the four[H702] chief[H1368] porters,[H7778] were in their set office,[H530] and were[H1961] over[H5921] the chambers[H3957] and treasuries[H214] of the house[H1004] of God.[H430]

27. And they lodged[H3885] round about[H5439] the house[H1004] of God,[H430] because[H3588] the charge[H4931] was upon[H5921] them, and the opening[H4668] thereof every morning[H1242] [H1242] pertained to them.[H1992]

28. And certain of[H4480] them had the charge of[H5921] the ministering[H5656] vessels,[H3627] that[H3588] they should bring them in[H935] and out[H3318] by tale.[H4557]

32. And other of[H4480] their brethren,[H251] of the sons[H1121] of[H4480] the Kohathites,[H6956] were over[H5921] the shewbread,[H3899] [H4635] to prepare[H3559] it every sabbath.[H7676] [H7676]

33. And these[H428] are the singers,[H7891] chief[H7218] of the fathers[H1] of the Levites,[H3881] who remaining in the chambers[H3957] were free:[H6362] for[H3588] they were employed[H5921] in that work[H4399] day[H3119] and night.[H3915]

34. These[H428] chief[H7218] fathers[H1] of the Levites[H3881] were chief[H7218] throughout their generations;[H8435] these[H428] dwelt[H3427] at Jerusalem.[H3389]

38. And Mikloth[H4732] begot[H3205] [H853] Shimeam.[H8043] And they[H1992] also[H637] dwelt[H3427] with[H5973] their brethren[H251] at Jerusalem,[H3389] over against[H5048] their brethren.[H251]

39. And Ner[H5369] begot[H3205] [H853] Kish;[H7027] and Kish[H7027] begot[H3205] [H853] Saul;[H7586] and Saul[H7586] begot[H3205] [H853] Jonathan,[H3083] and Malchi-shua,[H4444] and Abinadab,[H41] and Esh-baal.[H792]

40. And the son[H1121] of Jonathan[H3083] was Merib-baal:[H4807] and Merib-baal[H4810] begot[H3205] [H853] Micah.[H4318]

41. And the sons[H1121] of Micah[H4318] were, Pithon,[H6377] and Melech,[H4429] and Tahrea,[H8475] and Ahaz.

42. And Ahaz[H271] begot[H3205] [H853] Jarah;[H3294] and Jarah[H3294] begot[H3205] [H853] Alemeth,[H5964] and Azmaveth,[H5820] and Zimri;[H2174] and Zimri[H2174] begot[H3205] [H853] Moza;[H4162]

43. And Moza[H4162] begot[H3205] [H853] Binea;[H1150] and Rephaiah[H7509] his son,[H1121] Eleasah[H501] his son,[H1121] Azel[H682] his son.[H1121]

44. And Azel[H682] had six[H8337] sons,[H1121] whose names[H8034] are these,[H428] Azrikam,[H5840] Bocheru,[H1074] and Ishmael,[H3458] and Sheariah,[H8187] and Obadiah,[H5662] and Hanan:[H2605] these[H428] were the sons[H1121] of Azel.[H682]
