ASV_Strong : Deuteronomy 13

verses:

1. If there arise[H6965] in the middle[H7130] of you a prophet[H5030], or a dreamer[H2492] of dreams[H2472], and he give[H5414] you a sign[H226] or a wonder[H4159],

2. and the sign[H226] or the wonder[H4159] come to pass[H935], whereof he spoke[H1696] unto you[H559], saying, Let us go[H3212] after[H310] other[H312] gods[H430], which you have not known[H3045], and let us serve them[H5647];

3. you shall not listen[H8085] unto the words[H1697] of that prophet[H5030], or unto that dreamer[H2492] of dreams[H2472]: for Jehovah[H3068] your God[H430] proveth[H5254] you[H3045], to know whether you[H3426] love[H157] Jehovah[H3068] your God[H430] with all your heart[H3824] and with all your soul[H5315].

4. You shall walk[H3212] after[H310] Jehovah[H3068] your God[H430], and fear[H3372] him[H8104], and keep his commandments[H4687], and obey[H8085] his voice[H6963], and you shall serve[H5647] him[H1692], and cleave unto him.

5. And that prophet[H5030], or that dreamer[H2492] of dreams[H2472], shall be put to death[H4191], because he has spoken[H1696] rebellion[H5627] against Jehovah[H3068] your God[H430], who brought you out[H3318] of the land[H776] of Egypt[H4714], and redeemed[H6299] you out of the house[H1004] of bondage[H5650], to draw[H5080] you aside out of the way[H1870] which Jehovah[H3068] your God[H430] commanded[H6680] you to walk in[H3212]. So shall you put[H1197] away[H1197] the evil[H7451] from the middle of you[H7130].

6. If your brother[H251], the son[H1121] of your mother[H517], or your son[H1121], or your daughter[H1323], or the wife[H802] of your bosom[H2436], or your friend[H7453], that is as your own soul[H5315], entice[H5496] you secretly[H5643], saying[H559], Let us go[H3212] and serve[H5647] other[H312] gods[H430], which you have not known[H3045], you[H1], nor your fathers;

7. of the gods[H430] of the peoples[H5971] that are round about[H5439] you[H7138], near unto you[H7350], or far off from you[H7097], from the one end of the earth[H776] even unto the other end[H7097] of the earth[H776];

8. you shall not consent[H14] unto him[H8085], nor listen unto him[H5869]; neither shall your eye pity[H2347] him[H2550], neither shall you spare, neither shall you conceal him[H3680]:

9. but you shall surely[H2026] kill[H2026] him[H3027]; your hand shall be first[H7223] upon him to put him to death[H4191], and afterwards[H314] the hand[H3027] of all the people[H5971].

10. And you shall stone[H5619] him to death with stones[H68], because he has sought[H1245] to draw you away[H5080] from Jehovah[H3068] your God[H430], who brought you out[H3318] of the land[H776] of Egypt[H4714], out[H3318] of the house[H1004] of bondage[H5650].

11. And all Israel[H3478] shall hear[H8085], and fear[H3372], and shall do[H6213] not more[H3254] any[H1697] such wickedness[H7451] as this is in the middle of you[H7130].

12. If you shall hear[H8085] tell concerning one[H259] of your cities[H5892], which Jehovah[H3068] your God[H430] gives[H5414] you to live[H3427] there[H559], saying,

13. Certain[H1121] base[H1100] fellows[H582] are gone out[H3318] from the middle[H7130] of you[H5080], and have drawn away the inhabitants[H3427] of their city[H5892], saying[H559], Let us go[H3212] and serve[H5647] other[H312] gods[H430], which you have not known[H3045];

14. then shall you inquire[H1875], and make search[H2713], and ask[H7592] diligently[H3190]; and[H571], behold, if it be truth, and the thing[H1697] certain[H3559], that such[H2063] abomination[H8441] is worked[H6213] in the middle of you[H7130],

15. you shall surely[H5221] strike[H5221] the inhabitants[H3427] of that city[H5892] with the edge[H6310] of the sword[H2719], destroying it utterly[H2763], and all that is in it and the cattle[H929] there[H6310], with the edge of the sword[H2719].

16. And you shall gather[H6908] all the plunder[H7998] of it into the middle[H8432] of the street[H7339] there[H8313], and shall burn with fire[H784] the city[H5892], and all the plunder[H7998] there every whit[H3632], unto Jehovah[H3068] your God[H430]: and it shall be a heap[H8510] for ever[H5769]; it shall not be built again[H1129].

17. And there shall cleave[H1692] nothing[H3972] of the devoted thing[H2764] to your hand[H3027]; that Jehovah[H3068] may turn[H7725] from the fierceness[H2740] of his anger[H639], and show[H5414] you mercy[H7356], and have compassion[H7355] upon you[H7235], and multiply you[H7650], as he has sworn unto your fathers[H1];

18. when you shall listen[H8085] to the voice[H6963] of Jehovah[H3068] your God[H430], to keep[H8104] all his commandments[H4687] which I command[H6680] you this day[H3117], to do[H6213] that which is right[H3477] in the eyes[H5869] of Jehovah[H3068] your God[H430].
