ASV_Strong : 1 Corinthians 9
1. Am[G1510] I not[G3756] free[G1658]? Am[G1510] I not[G3756] an apostle[G652]? Have I not[G3780] seen[G3708] Jesus[G2424, 5547] our[G2257] Lord[G2962]? Are[G2075] not[G3756] ye[G5210] my[G3450] work[G2041] in[G1722] the Lord[G2962]?
2. If[G1487] to others[G243] I am[G1510] not[G3756] an apostle[G652], yet[G235] at least[G1065] I am[G1510] to you[G5213]; for[G1063] the seal[G4973] of mine[G1699] apostleship[G651] are[G2075] ye[G5210] in[G1722] the Lord[G2962].
3. My[G1699] defence[G627] to them[G3588] that examine[G350] me[G1691] is[G2076] this[G3778].
4. Have we[G2192, 3361] no[G3756] right[G1849] to eat[G5315] and[G2532] to drink[G4095]?
5. Have we[G2192, 3361] no[G3756] right[G1849] to lead about[G4013] a wife[G1135] that is a believer[G79], even[G5613] as[G2532] the rest[G3062] of the apostles[G652], and[G2532] the brethren[G80] of the Lord[G2962], and[G2532] Cephas[G2786]?
6. Or[G2228] I[G1473] only[G3441] and[G2532] Barnabas[G3756], have[G2192] we not[G3361] a right[G1849] to forbear working[G2038]?
7. What[G5101] soldier[G4754] ever[G4218] serveth at his own[G2398] charges[G3800]? who[G5101] planteth[G5452] a vineyard[G290], and[G2532] eateth[G2068] not[G3756] the fruit[G2590] thereof[G846]? Or[G2228] who[G5101] feedeth[G4165] a flock[G4167], and[G2532] eateth[G2068] not[G3756] of[G1537] the milk[G1051] of[G1537] the flock[G4167]?
8. Do I[G2980] speak these things[G5023, 3361] after[G2596] the manner of men[G444]? or[G2228] saith[G3004] not[G3780] the law[G3551] also[G2532] the same[G5023]?
9. For[G1063] it is written[G1125] in[G1722] the law[G3551] of Moses[G3475], Thou shalt[G5392] not[G3756] muzzle[G3592] the ox[G1016] when he treadeth out the corn[G248]. [G3361] Is[G3199] it for the oxen[G1016] that God[G2316] careth[G3199],
10. or[G2228] saith he[G3004] it assuredly[G3843] for[G1223] our sake[G2248]? Yea[G1063], for[G1223] our sake[G2248] it was written[G1125]: because[G3754] he[G3588] that[G3754] ploweth[G722] ought[G3784] to plow[G722] in[G1909] hope[G1680], and[G2532] he that[G2532] thresheth[G248], to thresh in[G1909] hope[G1680] of[G846] partaking[G3348].
11. If[G1487] we[G2249] sowed[G4687] unto you[G5213] spiritual things[G4152], is it a great matter[G3173] if[G1487] we[G2249] shall reap[G2325] your[G5216] carnal things[G3173]?
12. If[G1487] others[G243] partake[G3348] of this right over you[G5216], do not[G3756] we[G2249] yet more[G3123]? Nevertheless[G235] we did not[G3756] use[G5530] this[G5026] right[G1849]; but[G235] we bear[G4722] all things[G3956], that[G3363] we may cause[G1325] no[G5100] hindrance[G1464] to the gospel[G2098] of Christ[G5547].
13. Know[G1492] ye[G1492] not[G3756] that[G3754] they[G3588] that minister[G2038] about sacred things[G2413] eat[G2068] of the things of[G1537] the temple[G2411], and they that wait[G4332] upon the altar[G2379] have their portion[G4829] with the altar[G2379]?
14. Even[G2532] so[G3779] did[G1299] the Lord[G2962] ordain that[G1299] they that[G3588] proclaim[G2605] the gospel[G2098] should live[G2198] of[G1537] the gospel[G2098].
15. But[G1161] I[G1473] have used[G5530] none[G3762] of these things[G5130]: and[G1161] I write[G1125] not[G3756] these things[G5023] that[G2443] it may be[G1096] so[G3779] done[G1096] in my[G1698] case[G1698]; for[G1063] it were good[G3123] for[G1063] me[G3427] rather to die[G599], [G2570] than[G2228] that[G2443] any man[G5100] should make[G2758] my[G3450] glorifying[G2745] void[G2758].
16. For[G1063] if[G1437] I preach the gospel[G2097], I[G3427] have[G2076] nothing[G3756] to glory of[G2745]; for[G1063] necessity[G318] is laid[G1945] upon me[G3427]; for[G1161] woe[G3759] is[G2076] unto me[G3427], if[G1437] I preach[G2097] not[G3361] the gospel[G2097].
17. For if I do[G4238] this[G5124] of mine own will[G1635], I have[G2192] a reward[G3408]: but[G1161] if[G1487] not of mine own will[G210], I have a stewardship[G3622] intrusted to me[G4100].
18. What[G5101] then[G3767] is[G2076] my[G3427] reward[G3408]? That[G2443], when I preach the gospel[G2097], I may make[G5087] the gospel[G2098, 5547] without charge[G1519], so as not[G3361] to use[G2710] to the full my[G3450] right[G1849] in[G1722] the gospel[G2098].
19. For[G1063] though I was[G5607] free[G1658] from[G1537] all[G3956] men[G1402], I brought myself[G1683] under bondage[G1402] to all[G3956], that[G2443] I might gain[G2770] the more[G4119].
20. And[G2532] to the Jews[G2453] I became[G1096] as[G5613] a Jew[G2453], that[G2443] I might gain[G2770] Jews[G2453]; to them that are[G3588] under[G5259] the law[G3551], as[G5613] under[G5259] the law[G3551], not being myself under the law[G2443], that I might gain[G2770] them that are[G3588] under[G5259] the law[G3551];
21. to them that are without law[G459], as[G5613] without law[G459], not[G3361] being[G5607] without law[G459] to God[G2316], but[G235] under law[G1772] to Christ[G5547], that[G2443] I might gain[G2770] them that are without law[G459].
22. To the weak[G772] I[G1096] became[G5613] weak[G772], that[G2443] I might gain[G2770] the weak[G772]: I am become[G1096] all things[G3956] to all[G3956] men[G2443], that I may[G4982] by all means[G3843] save[G4982] some[G5100].
23. And[G1161] I do[G4160] all things[G5124] for[G1223] the gospel[G2098]'s sake, that[G2443] I may be[G1096] a joint[G846] partaker thereof[G4791].
24. Know ye[G1492] not[G3756] that[G3754] they that[G3754] run[G5143] in[G1722] a race[G4712] run[G5143] all[G3303], but[G1161] one[G1520] receiveth[G2983] the prize[G1017]? Even so[G3779] run[G5143]; that[G2443] ye may attain[G2638].
25. And[G1161] every man[G3956] that striveth in the games[G75] exerciseth self-control[G1467] in all things[G3956]. Now[G3767] they[G1565, Ezekiel3] do it to[G2443] receive[G2983] a corruptible[G5349] crown[G4735]; but[G1161] we[G2249] an incorruptible[G862].
26. I[G1473] therefore[G5106] so[G3779] run[G5143], as[G5613] not[G3756] uncertainly[G84]; so[G3779] fight I[G4438], as[G5613] not[G3756] beating[G1194] the air[G109]:
27. but[G235] I buffet my[G3450] body[G4983], and[G2532] bring it into bondage[G1396]: lest by any means[G3381], [G4458] after that I[G4458] have preached[G2784] to others[G243], I myself[G846] should be[G1096] rejected[G96].
