The Ark Brought to Jerusalem
David, after conquering Jerusalem, desired to bring the Ark of the Covenant to the city, a symbol of God's presence and covenant with Israel. This act represented the establishment of Jerusalem as the central place of worship and the unification of the kingdom under David's rule.
