2. I am Jehovah[H3068] thy God[H430], who brought[H3318] thee out of the land[H776] of Egypt[H4714], out of the house[H1004] of bondage[H5650].

3. Thou shalt have no other[H312] gods[H430] before me[H6440].

4. Thou shalt not make[H6213] unto thee a graven image[H6459], nor any likeness[H8544] of any thing that[H834] is in heaven[H8064] above[H4605], or that is in the earth[H776] beneath[H4325], or that is in the water under the earth[H776]:

5. thou shalt not bow down[H7812] thyself unto them[H5647], nor serve them[H3068]; for I Jehovah thy God[H430] am a jealous[H7067] God[H430], visiting[H6485] the iniquity[H5771] of the fathers[H1] upon the children[H1121], upon the third[H8029] and upon the fourth[H7256] generation of them that hate me[H8130],

6. and showing[H6213] lovingkindness[H2617] unto thousands[H505] of them that love[H157] me and keep[H8104] my commandments[H4687].

7. Thou shalt not take[H5375] the name[H8034] of Jehovah[H3068] thy God[H430] in vain[H7723]; for Jehovah[H3068] will not hold him guiltless[H5352] that taketh[H5375] his name[H8034] in vain[H7723].

8. Remember[H2142] the sabbath[H7676] day[H3117], to keep it holy[H6942].

9. Six[H8337] days[H3117] shalt thou labor[H5647], and do[H6213] all thy work[H4399];

10. but the seventh[H7637] day[H3117] is a sabbath[H7676] unto Jehovah[H3068] thy God[H430]: in it thou shalt not do[H6213] any work[H4399], thou[H1121], nor thy son, nor thy daughter[H1323], thy man-servant[H5650], nor thy maid-servant[H519], nor thy cattle[H929], nor thy stranger[H1616] that is within thy gates[H8179]:

11. for in six[H8337] days[H3117] Jehovah[H3068] made[H6213] heaven[H8064] and earth[H776], the sea[H3220], and all that in them is[H5117], and rested the seventh[H7637] day[H3117]: wherefore Jehovah[H3068] blessed[H1288] the sabbath[H7676] day[H3117], and hallowed it[H6942].

12. Honor[H3513] thy father[H1] and thy mother[H517], that thy days[H3117] may be long[H748] in the land[H127] which Jehovah[H3068] thy God[H430] giveth thee[H5414].

13. Thou shalt not kill[H7523].

14. Thou shalt not commit adultery[H5003].

15. Thou shalt not steal[H1589].

16. Thou shalt not bear[H6030] false[H8267] witness[H5707] against thy neighbor[H7453].

17. Thou shalt not covet[H2530] thy neighbor[H7453]'s house[H1004], thou shalt not covet[H2530] thy neighbor[H7453]'s wife[H802], nor his man-servant[H5650], nor his maid-servant[H519], nor his ox[H7794], nor his ass[H2543], nor anything that is thy neighbor[H7453]'s.

18. And all the people[H5971] perceived[H7200] the thunderings[H6963], and the lightnings[H3940], and the voice[H6963] of the trumpet[H7782], and the mountain[H2022] smoking[H6226]: and when the people[H5971] saw[H7200] it[H5128], they trembled, and stood[H5975] afar off[H7350].

19. And they said[H559] unto Moses[H4872], Speak[H1696] thou with us[H8085], and we will hear; but let not God[H430] speak[H1696] with us[H4191], lest we die.

20. And Moses[H4872] said[H559] unto the people[H5971], Fear[H3372] not[H430]: for God is come[H935] to[H5668] prove[H5254] you[H3374], and that his fear may be before you[H6440], that ye sin not[H2398].

21. And the people[H5971] stood[H5975] afar off[H7350], and Moses[H4872] drew near[H5066] unto the thick darkness[H6205] where God was[H430].

22. And Jehovah[H3068] said[H559] unto Moses[H4872], Thus thou shalt say[H559] unto the children[H1121] of Israel[H3478], Ye yourselves have seen[H7200] that I have talked[H1696] with you from heaven[H8064].

23. Ye shall not make[H6213] other gods[H430] with me[H3701]; gods of silver, or gods[H430] of gold[H2091], ye shall not make unto you[H6213].

24. An altar[H4196] of earth[H127] thou shalt make[H6213] unto me[H2076], and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt-offerings[H5930], and thy peace-offerings[H8002], thy sheep[H6629], and thine oxen[H1241]: in every place[H4725] where I record[H2142] my name[H8034] I will come[H935] unto thee and I will bless thee[H1288].

25. And if thou make[H6213] me an altar[H4196] of stone[H68], thou shalt not build[H1129] it of hewn stones[H1496]; for if thou lift up[H5130] thy tool[H2719] upon it[H2490], thou hast polluted it.

26. Neither shalt thou go up[H5927] by steps[H4609] unto mine altar[H4196], that thy nakedness[H6172] be not uncovered thereon[H1540].
