A parable about the kingdom of heaven is like a net cast into the sea, gathering fish of every kind.
The Parable of the Net: Separating the Good from the Bad
Matthew
13:47-50
47. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
48. Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
49. So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
50. And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

NOTE: The images reflect the following descriptions related to the theme : The Parable of the Net: Separating the Good from the Bad
- A macro closeup of a fisherman's weathered hands sorting through a net overflowing with a variety of fish, some gleaming silver, others dull and dark, reflecting the parable's theme of separating the good from the bad. The background should be blurred, focusing on the hands and the fish. The setting is a simple fishing boat near a rocky shore, evocative of Galilee.
- A macro closeup of a single, discarded, decaying fish lying amongst the sand and debris on a beach, symbolizing those who are ultimately rejected. The details of its deterioration should be sharply visible, contrasting with the bright sunlight illuminating the scene, creating a powerful visual metaphor.
- Bright morning sunlight, casting long shadows across a tranquil lake in Galilee, where a fishing net is being hauled in. The scene should feature a diverse array of fish, some brightly colored and healthy, others dark and lifeless, reflecting the parable's message. The orange and yellow hues of the dawn should emphasize the contrast.
- Morning light bathes a serene shoreline, where a fisherman meticulously sorts through his net, separating the good fish from the bad. The setting is idyllic, but the contrast between the lively and lifeless fish represents the separation described in the parable. The sun should be a vibrant, warm orange/yellow.
- A serene evening scene, twilight painting the sky in hues of orange and purple. Fishermen are silently preparing their nets for the next day, symbolizing the ongoing process of sorting and discerning as described in the parable. The calm lake reflects the sky's colors.
- As the sun sets casting long shadows across a rocky shoreline, a discarded pile of undesirable fish lies discarded, representing those rejected in the parable. The somber colors and the darkening sky emphasize the finality of the separation.
- A group of fishermen in the early morning, hauling in a large net filled with a variety of fish. Their faces are etched with the effort of their work, but also with the quiet understanding of the task of discerning, mirroring the parable’s message. The scene is set in a bustling fishing village near the Sea of Galilee.
- A group of people gathered around a bonfire at night, listening intently as an elder explains the parable of the net. The flickering firelight illuminates their faces, casting dramatic shadows, emphasizing the gravity of the parable's message. The setting is a simple dwelling near a lake.
- A detailed depiction of a fishing net, intricately woven, with different types of fish subtly implied within its mesh. The net is the central focus, symbolizing the kingdom of heaven, while the absence of explicitly depicted fish allows for interpretation of the 'good' and 'bad'.
- A close-up of a fisherman's calloused hands carefully separating a healthy fish from a diseased one. The focus is on the act of discerning and the symbolic weight of the choice, representing the separation of the good and bad. The setting is minimally visible.
- Fishermen silently mending their nets by the shore under a starlit sky. The quiet, contemplative nature of the scene highlights the ongoing work of discernment and the parable's themes of judgment and redemption. The setting should evoke a sense of peace and reflection.
- A lone fisherman, silhouetted against the rising sun, walks away from the shoreline carrying a small basket of carefully selected fish. This imagery symbolizes the selective gathering and leaving behind of certain fish, as described in the parable. The scene is bathed in warm orange light.
