ASV_Strong : Psalms 41

verses:

1. For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Blessed[H835] is he that considereth[H7919] the poor[H1800]: Jehovah[H3068] will deliver[H4422] him in the day[H3117] of evil[H7451].

2. Jehovah[H3068] will preserve[H8104] him[H2421], and keep him alive, And he shall be blessed[H833] upon the earth[H776]; And deliver[H5414] not thou him unto the will[H5315] of his enemies[H341].

3. Jehovah[H3068] will support[H5582] him upon the couch[H6210] of languishing[H1741]: Thou makest[H2015] all his bed[H6210] in his sickness[H2483].

4. I said[H559], O Jehovah[H3068], have mercy[H2603] upon me[H7495]: Heal my soul[H5315]; For I have sinned against thee[H2398].

5. Mine enemies[H341] speak[H559] evil[H7451] against me[H4191], saying, When will he die, and his name[H8034] perish[H6]?

6. And if he come[H935] to see[H7200] me[H1696], he speaketh falsehood[H7723]; His heart[H3820] gathereth[H6908] iniquity[H205] to itself[H3318]: When he goeth abroad[H2351], he telleth it[H1696].

7. All that hate[H8130] me whisper[H3907] together[H3162] against me[H2803]; Against me do they devise my hurt[H7451].

8. An evil[H1100] disease[H1697], say they[H3332], cleaveth fast unto him[H7901]; And now that he lieth he shall rise up[H6965] no more[H3254].

9. Yea[H7965], mine own familiar friend[H376], in whom I trusted[H982], Who did eat[H398] of my bread[H3899], Hath lifted up[H1431] his heel against me[H6119].

10. But thou[H3068], O Jehovah, have mercy[H2603] upon me[H6965], and raise me up, That I may requite them[H7999].

11. By this I know[H3045] that thou delightest[H2654] in me[H341], Because mine enemy doth not triumph over me[H7321].

12. And as for me[H8551], thou upholdest me in mine integrity[H8537], And settest[H5324] me before thy face[H6440] for ever[H5769].

13. Blessed[H1288] be Jehovah[H3068], the God[H430] of Israel[H3478], From everlasting[H5769] and to everlasting[H5769]. Amen[H543], and Amen[H543].
