University Bible Group Evening (GBEU): FAIBLE=>weak

2 Corinthians 12:9, WEAK GBEU Evening, meet at Renens Church The gathering of all the Bible Groups in Vaud (EPFL, University of Lausanne, and many others) Note that this event is in French.

On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 6:45 PM to 9:15 PM, the first edition of the FAIBLE evening will take place!

What?

FAIBLE ! This is THE evening that brings together all the GBEUs in the canton of Vaud.

We will celebrate the God of salvation and be encouraged by His Word, the Bible. Free time will allow you to make new friends, have fun, share testimonies, and exchange good ideas for your GB.

For whom?

For all people who:

• Study in the canton of Vaud (high school, professional center, university, HES…)
• Are between 15 and 30 years old.
• Participate or not in a GB.
• Are Christians or not (the evening aims to be edifying for Christians while being understandable and welcoming to non-Christians).

Where?

At Action Biblique Church (33B Rue du Lac, Renens).

Access by bus (32, 33), M2 (Malley, Bourdonnette), train (Prilly-Malley).

Program

• 3:45 PM: Doors open, music, Crêpe Food Truck, various games, and activities available to facilitate meetings and have fun together.
• 6:45 PM: Grand game, worship, message, and call.
• 8:25 PM: GBEU vision and networking time with stands, testimonies, and free sharing of good ideas.
• 9:15 PM: Official end and after-party.
• 9:45 PM – 10:30 PM: Cleanup.

Food Truck

Crêpes (sweet or savory) can be purchased at the Food Truck (crepes4you.ch), which will be there just for us.

Testimonies and Stands

Do you want to share a testimony or a good idea for GBs during the networking time? You’ll have the option to wear an armband to indicate that people can come to talk to you. Think about it, because the more sharing there is, the richer the evening will be!

If you are a member of a GB and want to have a stand to represent your GB, it’s possible. The stand will help make your group known to potential new members and can host a game or activity of your choice. Please indicate this when registering, and we will contact you.

WEAK? What’s with that name?

The apostle Paul shares what the Lord told him in 2 Corinthians 12:9:

“But [the Lord] said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” (NBS Translation)

Your registration is welcome (to help us organize), but it is not mandatory to participate in the evening.

If you register before August 18 (11:59 PM), you will receive a small surprise gift to enjoy during the evening.
